Stephen Atkinson, Senior Vice President at Marsh Canada Ltd., is a trusted risk management and insurance advisor to some of the largest financial institutions, technology companies and public sector actors in Canada. He is the co-founder of Avant-Garde @ CIRANO, a tuition-free leadership development seminar focused on empowering emerging leaders in Montréal to think critically and cultivate the required skills & competencies to navigate an increasingly complex world. He currently serves as an advisor to The Decision Lab, a Montreal-based consultancy that helps public and private sector organizations benefit from the insights derived from the burgeoning field of behavioral science. He is also a member of the board of directors of The Walrus, an organization devoted to fact-based journalism and provoking new thinking on matters vital to Canadians through its publications and engagements.
Through his involvement in various causes, Stephen aims to help Canadians live, work, and learn in a progressive, inclusive environment. He is passionate about helping new Canadians integrate, but more importantly feel included.
Stephen is a graduate of Middlebury College, Middlebury VT, USA, majoring in economics and he completed a master’s of business administration at the John Molson School of Business, Concordia University in Montréal, Québec.
