The work of Century Initiative is founded on a belief that, with the right approach to growth, we can enhance our economic strength and resilience in Canada. This includes a focus on both attracting new talent to Canada, while also ensuring full participation of Indigenous peoples so that they may contribute to and share in Canada’s economic success. We must realize the potential in Canada’s Indigenous communities by embracing the principles of reconciliation to guide us.
As Canadians, we must ensure that the tragic history of residential schools is never forgotten. We must learn from our history and its ongoing consequences, so that we can work to support Indigenous communities across Canada to ensure that future generations have access to the opportunities they need to thrive.
